Credentials

• Written 5 novels, at least a rough draft
• Received a number of rejection letters from publishing companies
• Had one offer from Tate Publishing, but did not want to pay $4,000 for publishing, so did not accept
• When saying that I needed parents’ permission to publish if I was under eighteen, she assumed that I was not, judging by the ‘complexity of the writing’ (was 17 at the time)
• Also received a publishing offer from Ravenswood Publishing, however, due to lack of distribution, editing, and other services, I will likely not pursue
• Won a local poetry contest, placed third statewide in another, and have been published three times in the America Library of Poetry's annual student contest book
• ‘Won’ NaNoWriMo, and selected camps, 3 years so far
